PURPOSE: To manufacture a sintered ore for blast furnace excellent in the collapsibility by reduction by charging pelletized matter of a first group of raw materials in which iron-ore fines are mixed with at least one kind among powders, such as light burnt dolomite fines, powdered serpentine, and limestone fines, and substances of a second group of raw materials in which coke fines are further added to the first group of raw materials and these are mixed and wetted and then subjecting the resulting mixture to pelletizing and to sintering.
CONSTITUTION: A raw material mixture consisting of at least one kind among light burnt dolomite fines, powdered serpentine, and limestone fines and a part of iron-ore fines is charged into pelletizing equipment 45 consisting of a drum-type vibrating kneader 30b containing round bars 34 of 30-90mm diameter in 25-40% space factor and a pelletizer 40, where the above raw material mixture is subjected, with the addition of water, to crushing, kneading, humidity control, and pelletizing. Further, a raw material 10 composed of a mixture of at least one kind among light burnt dolomite fines, powdered serpentine, and limestone fines, the rest of iron-ore fines, and coke fines is charged into a drum-type vibrating kneader 30a, where the raw material 10 is subjected to humidity control and kneading with the addition of water. The above two kinds of raw materials are mixed in a secondary drum mixer 50 and then sintered by means of a sintering machine 60. By this method, the good-quality sintered ore for blast furnace having lower degradation ratio in collapse by reduction than heretofore can be obtained.
