PURPOSE: To make it possible to absorb even a slight expansion difference by interconnecting both end plates fixed with the ends of a rigid cylindrical membrane element by a spacer consisting of three juxtaposed oblong parts in such a manner that the expansion over the entire part thereof is equal to the expansion of the element.
CONSTITUTION: The module 1 for the rigid cylindrical membrane element 2 for sepn. filtration or catalytic transformation is constituted by receiving the element 2 into a cylindrical and parallel vessel. In addition, the ends of the element 2 are closed by the first and second end plates 4, 5 fixed by using seals 6, 7. The end plates 4, 5 are interconnected by at least one spacer comprising at least three juxtaposed oblong parts 10, 20, 30. The first part 20 is fixed to the end plate 4 and the third part 30 is fixed to the end plate 5. The second part 20 is fixed to the free end of the parts 10, 30. The material, by which these three parts are formed, is so formed as to be made surely equal to the expansion of the actively element 2 in the expansion over the entire part thereof.
