PURPOSE: To prevent temperature increase in a refrigerator due to the outflow of cold air, frosting due to the inflow of moisture and the like even when the closing of a drawer vessel is forgotten by a method wherein the drawer vessel is moved to the received position thereof by a motor when the drawer vessel is positioned at the draw-out position thereof for a period exceeding a given time.
CONSTITUTION: When a microcomputer 16 is started, the microcomputer inputs the output of an opening and closing detector 14 to judge whether a drawer vessel 3 is positioned at the draw-out position thereof and when the vessel is positioned at the received position thereof, the count of a timer, counting the opening time of the vessel, is reset to return to the start of the counting. When the drawer vessel 3 is judged that it is at the opening position thereof, the counting of the timer is advanced. The counted time is judged whether it has exceeded a given time (x) and when it has not exceeded the given time (x), the elapse of time is waited. When it has exceeded the given time (x), the microcomputer 16 drives a motor 12 through a driving device 17 to rotate a gear 13 clockwise. According to this operation, a rack 11 or the drawer vessel 3 is moved rightward and when the vessel 3 is received in the closed position thereof, the motor 12 is stopped.
